Firstly I would ask for a general explanation of the tutee’s understanding of the subject being tutored in.
Then secondly go on to recap work from the previous session.
Thirdly identify key areas the tutee is struggling with and then working on those key areas together by using special summarising, active listening and study techniques Proven to work in any subject or module.
Lastly actively teach the tutee how to apply the above mentioned techniques and then give the tutee simple quick exercises related to their subject or module either as homework or for review during the session.
