About Temiloluwa
Hi Hi! I'm Temi and I'm 20 years old and currently an undergraduate student at the University of Sussex Law school. During the summers I worked at youth camps and during term time I tutor part time. I have always been committed to reinvesting back into the younger generations and I find the work do extremely emotionally rewarding and important, this is a big motivation of my profession as a tutor.
Some fun facts about me are:
- I know German at an intermediate level
- I enjoy baking and reading
- I serve the young adult community at my church
- I recently learned how to cycle!

Prior to the first lesson I like to host an introductory video call where the student is able to meet me as well of the parents and we discuss their learning needs/goals in addition to valuating whether I will be a good fit for the student and their needs. This lesson will be 30 minutes and allow for enough time to complete some questions with the child.
I start initial lessons with icebreakers/games/starter questions tailored to the student's age group and learning ability. The first lesson will also be a general low pressure assessments so I can analyse the student's needs and make a specific teaching plan that best meets their learning goals. I believe that a 40-50 minute lesson allows for all of this without being too overwhelming for the student.
During my three years as a private tutor I have taught primary school children with a range of learning needs such as ADD, ADHD, Autism and speech impairments. This has strengthened and diversified my range of communication and overall improved my teaching ability.
In terms of my qualifications, I obtained a grade 7 in GCSE Maths at Bexley Grammar School as well as a A* in my English Language and Literature A level at Borden Grammar School.
