About Alex
Hi, I'm Alex and I am currently a final year Maths student at Lancaster University. I have a strong passion for Maths and wish to share this with you. I have been tutoring Maths for over two years with over 100 hours of experience and have previously been a Young Leader for the Scouting Association so I am no stranger to helping people accomplish tasks that may have initially seemed like an impossible feat. As a third year undergraduate, I am as up-to-date with the GCSE and A Level curriculum as possible since I sat the A Level Maths and Further Maths papers in 2022. I am therefore well-versed in and have an excellent understanding of the best way to answer the questions in order to obtain the most possible marks.

I will ask which topics you wish to cover in the first lesson and I will provide exam style questions modelled around your topics. I will first demonstrate how to answer the question and formulate your answer in the best way, then I will give you numerous similar examples for you to work through. I like to promote the student figuring out their own mistakes rather than me telling you where you went wrong and how to make it correct since this is great exam practice. Once we have covered all topics you are unsure of over the course of a few weeks I will then start you on some past papers working back to front (since doing the easy ones is not a good use of time).
