About Ethan
I am a current Software Engineering student at Queen's University Belfast, entering my final year of study. I'm proficient in many programming languages that may be covered across different exams; C#, C++, Python, Java, HTML, JavaScript and more. I did a 1 year work placement at Rapid7, a global cybersecurity firm, where I learnt how to apply my programming skills to real projects and problems. A common trend among young engineers is a lack of understanding due to overreliance on AI tools like ChatGPT. Having worked in the industry I can teach students how to use tools like this properly to enhance their understanding instead of using it as a replacement for real learning.

The primary goal of the lessons is to ensure the student fully understands the concepts of programming and can implement them creatively to solve problems without assistance. I will make use of test papers to assess the student's current level of understanding and identify any weak areas in the curriculum that need to be addressed.
