About Huyou
Hi, I’m Sihan, a fine arts graduate from the University of Cincinnati (DAAP). I have a strong foundation in drawing and visual storytelling, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in their artistic skills. My approach combines technical training with creative thinking, and I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for each student.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals while also encouraging creative thinking and personal expression. I believe that learning art is not just about copying images, but about understanding how to observe, analyze, and construct visual ideas. I guide students step by step, helping them develop both technical skills and visual confidence.
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous work, followed by targeted exercises based on the student’s level and goals. These may include sketching, proportion, composition, or basic form construction. I often demonstrate techniques and then guide students through practice, offering detailed feedback and adjustments. Each lesson ends with a short reflection and suggestions for independent practice.
What sets me apart is my background in fine arts from the University of Cincinnati (DAAP) and my focus on visual storytelling. I help students connect technical drawing skills with creative thinking, so they not only improve their technique but also learn how to express ideas through their work. I also adapt my teaching style to each student, making lessons structured but flexible.
My lessons are suitable for beginners and intermediate students, including those who want to build a strong foundation in drawing, explore character design, or develop personal art projects. I also welcome students preparing portfolios or seeking to improve their creative skills in a supportive environment.
