About Rebecca
Hello! My name is Rebecca and I am a tutor in English Language and Literature for GCSE, A-Level and degree students. I also prepare students for entrance exams, scholarship and UCAS applications, honing interview technique alongside curricular studies. I hold a First-class degree in English Literature from the University of Bristol and also provide pubic speaking coaching.
I have tutored students across a range of ages and abilities, both privately and in schools. I am well acquainted with the new GCSE system as well as the updated A-level syllabus for English Literature. I have also prepared pupils for UCAS applications, having successfully secured previous students places at some of the UK’s top universities.
I have a relaxed but engaging approach to tutoring and always seek to apply a personalised approach depending on the students specific learning style and requirements. I focus on essay-writing and exam technique, providing a clear strategy for each pupil I work with.
In September I will be studying an MA in Creative Writing and I love nothing more than imparting my passion for all things literature, reading and writing with students.

Perfect! Extremely encouraging
Rebecca focuses on my weaknesses and helps me with all aspects of English literature. Specifically, structure which is my weakest point. I have seen a change in my writing and my school teacher has noticed it too! Recently, she has a made an amazing resource booklet which is just what I needed for my understanding of the poetry anthology.
Overall, she is a great teacher and I highly recommend!
