About Mir

Hi, I'm Mir! I recently graduated from the University of Brighton with a First-Class BA (Hons) in English Literature and Creative Writing and was honoured to receive the Peter James Award for achieving the highest overall grade average on my course.

Reading, writing, and literature have always been a huge part of my life and I am passionate about helping others develop confidence in English. I know that studying literature can sometimes feel overwhelming, whether it's analysing texts, structuring essays, or preparing for exams, so I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building their skills.

Alongside my studies, I have worked in customer-facing roles and gained experience in publishing and editorial work, which has strengthened my communication, organisation, and writing abilities. I am friendly, patient, and enthusiastic and I genuinely enjoy helping students achieve their goals and discover a love of literature and language.

About the lesson

I offer engaging and supportive English Literature and Creative Writing tuition for GCSE and A-Level students. Having recently graduated with a First-Class BA (Hons) in English Literature and Creative Writing, I understand the challenges students face and tailor each lesson to their individual needs and learning style.

My teaching focuses on building confidence, developing analytical skills, improving essay writing and preparing students for exams and coursework. Lessons typically last 60 minutes and combine close reading, discussion, structured essay practice and revision techniques in a relaxed and encouraging environment.

Alongside my degree, I have experience in editorial work and publishing, which has strengthened my writing, proofreading, and communication skills. Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, gain confidence in English, or prepare for exams, I am committed to helping you achieve your goals.
