About Charlotte
Hello! I’m a First-Class English Literature graduate with a real passion for helping students unlock their potential in English. Funnily enough, when I was younger, I had an English tutor myself, and she completely changed the way I saw the subject. She helped me discover a love of literature, and I want to do the same for others. In school, English can often feel like just another compulsory subject, but I aim to make it something enjoyable, empowering, and even fun. I know from experience that classroom environments often focus heavily on covering content, but don’t always spend enough time teaching students how to approach exams, structure essays, or revise effectively. I’ve heard so many students say, “I don’t know how to revise for English,” and I’d love to change that. I’m confident teaching a wide range of texts across different exam boards, including Shakespeare, 19th-century novels, poetry, and modern literature, and I tailor my sessions to meet the needs and goals of each student. Fun facts about me: My favourite Shakespeare character is Lady Macbeth. I love gothic fiction — especially Jane Eyre and Rebecca. When I’m not reading, you’ll probably find me cooking or planning my next travel adventure.

I’m a First-Class English Literature graduate with experience creating and delivering educational sessions for young people. I offer one-to-one English tutoring for GCSE and A Level students, with a particular focus on building essay writing skills and critical thinking — key areas where students often lose marks. I understand how easy it is to feel lost in a large classroom, which is why personalised, one-to-one support can make such a difference. My sessions are tailored to each student’s needs and exam board, helping them gain confidence, develop their ideas clearly, and approach texts with a deeper understanding. I’m confident teaching a wide range of material, including Shakespeare, 19th-century novels, poetry, and modern texts, and I always aim to make learning both engaging and empowering
