About Sarel
I'm a South African born Australian, with Swiss parents. Grew up in South Africa and immigrated to Australia just before high school, went to university here too. I'm a man of the world and always looking for the next adventure, spent plenty of time travelling the world and working/studying in different countries, including China, Tonga, Fiji, and all over Europe. I can speak a few different languages including German, Swiss-German, Mandarin, bit of Afrikaans, and I'm trying to learn Spanish at the moment.
Keen to help fellow students out, having known first hand the struggles of feeling lost and not knowing where to begin or how to improve. Always enjoyed tutoring and you'll never feel pressured or stupid in my lessons, I'm genuinely here to help and have confidence in all my students, no matter what stage they are at, as long as they want to improve.

My background having been an ATAR and university student myself means I know how the courses work, and what to do to get the understanding you're after. Even now as an electrical engineer, I'm constantly learning new things and improving the way I learn and teach.
I've been a private tutor for subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and also work as a tutor for the Follow the Dream program, helping Indigenous students from disadvantaged backgrounds with their high school subjects.
Happy to help anyone whether you are a primary, high school or university student. I tailor my lessons specifically to what YOU want to improve on, and find out what methods work best for you, so that you don't rely on external help and get the understanding and confidence you are looking for.
