About Daniel
I have taught biochemistry, organic chemistry and general chemistry since 2015 to a few students. I was then employed at Curtin University as a UniPASS Peer Learning Facilitator (Feb 2016 - Dec 2017), who planned and ran classes of up to 40 students, with exciting, engaging and collaborative activities.
The students I have tutored privately achieved high distinctions, with a few achieving in the top 1% of the University (awarded the Vice-Chancellor's List). Those I have taught in UniPASS classes, on average, achieved 20% higher grades than students who did not attend, as the classes we optional for students.

I believe that working live with the student on solving a problem is much better than having the answers prepared and just explaining it orally to them. The former engages students in active learning, and breaks down difficult concepts for clearer understanding. I have engaged a few hundred students during my teaching at university. My ultimate goal is to help students learn and not memorize, and to be able to teach other students a concept is the best way to retain their understanding of the concept long term.
I believe in fun and actively engaging learning that boosts students confidence, which in turn, naturally improves their competency in the subject. I highly encourage discussions and questions to be thrown (there is no such thing as a 'dumb' question, and the more confident the student is, the more likely they will ask questions and engage). I pay careful attention to the students current understanding, allowing me to help students at their best level: their current understandings plus a little bit extra that they are challenged but remain engaged.
