About Sonia
I have a First Class Honours degree in Law and Criminology LLB with a strong legal background. I have experience as an Employment Law Paralegal, a Solicitors Representative and an Immigration Legal Intern. My favourite modules at university were Hate Crimes and Equity and Trusts. I currently work as a committee board member for CHANGE, a charity specialising in rights for people with learning disabilities.

I think the best way to learn is by explaining my method to you and then giving you an opportunity to try it yourself and get feedback from me in the lesson. For example, for essay writing, I would ask about your concerns, give you practical solutions for those concerns and then have a workshop style session where we can practise the essay writing skills until you feel comfortable with continual feedback from me. In terms of structure I think the best way is to spend a third of the lesson explaining my methods or how to do something and then two thirds trying it for yourself under my direct supervision. This also gives you an opportunity to see where you are going wrong and how we can improve your technique or knowledge on a subject. Interactive learning is proven to be far more efficient than passive learning.
