About Andrew
I have been playing piano since the age of six and enjoy helping others discover music for themselves. I completed my Bachelor of Music at the University of Aberdeen, graduating with First Class Honours, before pursuing graduate studies in Music Performance at the University of Oxford. I have years of experience preparing for exams and performances and I understand the challenges students face. I enjoy helping students to achieve their potential in graded exams, performances, or just for their own enjoyment. I can also offer advice on auditions and interviews for those considering higher education in music.

I offer piano lessons for beginners through to advanced students. I focus on building a solid technical foundation and guiding students towards practice habits to successfully tackle the challenges of the piano. Whether preparing for graded exams, performances, or simply playing for pleasure, my goal is to encourage confident and expressive musicianship. I also offer music theory tuition to support students in developing a deeper understanding of the music they play and in preparation for higher ABRSM grade 6+
