About Sophia
Hi, I’m Sophia!
I’m a First Class Natural Sciences graduate, specializing in Chemistry, Earth Science, and Sustainability. Before university, I competed in the Chemistry Olympiad and achieved 613 points in my Leaving Certificate.
I’ve spent years working to achieve strong results, so I understand the level of effort and strategy it takes, but also how easy it is to feel stuck when something doesn’t click
I have also seen how transformational achieving your best can be and I want to help my students reach their full potential.

My teaching style focuses on building a strong foundation of knowledge with exam technique and strategy built in from day 1, creating an environment where the student can comfortably ask questions, no question is a silly question!
From this, my students feel confident answering exam questions accurately and understand what is required for their exam goals.
I have done extensive research in the science of learning and studying, which I would impart to the student.
I have experience tutoring and took teaching modules in science communication at a top 10 university in the UK.
My lessons suit Leaving and Junior Cert students and I can adjust to the level and needs of my students with ease.
