I'm new to professional private tutoring but I have a long track record of personal academic success and have worked informally with several A Level students in the past, all of whom progressed to Oxbridge or other red brick universities.

I am a thirty-four year old father of one, with a first class History degree (BA Hons) from the University of Oxford and a Masters in Print Journalism from the University of Sheffield (Distinction).
I offer bespoke one-to-one tuition in and around Sheffield. I specialise in tutoring History at A-Level and GCSE but I also offer help with university applications and Oxbridge interview/exam prep.
I am approachable, friendly, and patient, but I’m also passionate about History. I aim to make learning fun, challenging, and rewarding and believe that enjoying a subject is the key to success. I always aim to bring the subject to life and to help students engage, but I also look to help them work effectively and intelligently so they can make the best of limited time.
