About Roisin
I am a recent Oxford University graduate in Philosophy and Theology, now undertaking a Master's degree in Art History at the Courtauld Institute in London. As someone who has previously worked with young people on various summer school schemes, I have a passion for learning and creating thriving spaces for discussion! I believe my own positive attitude and curiosity allows me to really engage with individuals, and my academic background has given me the tools to think critically and flexibly in order to promote productive conversation.

It is important to me to acknowledge the individuality of each student, and take into account the specific needs of the learner - both in terms of personality and learning style. I want my lessons to be enjoyable, as I feel this is the most beneficial atmosphere for learning to take place, but also be a place in which ideas can be shared, broken down and truly understood rather than merely remembered. Above all, my lessons will engage and hopefully inspire the student to go above and beyond in their selected field. By being challenging enough to require real focus but interesting enough to demand actual engagement, I believe the most productive approach is one which places the student in control in terms of the direction of subject matter - relevant to the appropriate stipulations of course. I genuinely believe everyone has the potential to be interested and that finding this interest is key to success. I hope to be able to guide students towards this interest :)
