About Beatriz

I am a friendly and dedicated first-year BSc Biochemistry student with a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. Having recently completed my A levels, I understand the challenges students face and can provide up-to-date, relatable support for both GCSE and A-level students.

I tailor each lesson to the individual, focusing on building understanding, confidence and effective exam technique. I also have experience through peer mentoring, where I supported students with Maths and Science, including students with learning difficulties.

Whether you need help understanding a difficult topic, practising exam questions or preparing for an upcoming exam, I will provide patient, encouraging and structured support to help you make progress.

About the lesson

I offer tutoring for GCSE Maths and Science, as well as A-level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I can also provide support with EPQ planning, research, structure and presentation skills.

I use a combination of practice questions, active recall and exam-style questions to help students build both their understanding and confidence. I can adapt my teaching style depending on the student, whether they need help understanding a difficult topic, preparing for an exam, improving their exam technique or reviewing areas they find challenging.

As a current Biochemistry undergraduate, I have a strong foundation in the sciences and can relate to students who are working towards their GCSEs or A-levels. I also have experience supporting younger students through peer mentoring, including helping students with learning difficulties with Maths and Science homework.

Lessons are typically 1 hour long, although I can be flexible depending on the student's age, level and requirements. I am happy to work through topics step-by-step with students of any age.
