About Emily
Teaching and assisting students who require additional education and a refresh of mainstream education has always been a passion of mine through often seeing the insecurities and lack of consistency possible within compulsory schooling; tutoring can provide an enhancement. Within my education I have acquired a fascination and interest within sciences, particularly biology, that I have carried into degree education with the intention of helping others discover the complexity within a simple way. I aim to be an approachable teacher ready to answer any questions and tailor my teaching specifically to your needs; a rapport is a necessity in terms of learning and applying this knowledge into successful grades and performance.

Within my personal tutoring sessions it is vital to have a basic consolidation approach whereby vital knowledge is enhanced with challenging activities as well as tailoring and focus on examination technique. I believe learning should be an immersive, enjoyable experience in which should accompany everyday life outside the specification through application to real life settings aiding engagement.
Lessons range from 30 minutes-1 hour depending on students desire and will be GCSE level.
Qualifications include A*A*A at A-Level (Geography, Psychology, Biology); 8 A*s at GCSE (English Language and Literature, Maths, Combined Science 9-9), grades involve 7 9s (9-1)
Currently studying at University of Leeds (Msci, Biomedical Science); achieved university offers from all Russel Group universities including UCL.
