About Ayra
Hi, I’m Ayra, a Mathematics student at the University of Toronto Scarborough with a lifelong passion for exploring the wonders of numbers, patterns, and the universe. Math, for me, is more than formulas—it’s a way to understand the world, solve problems, and uncover hidden connections, whether in abstract theory or everyday life. My love for astronomy has only deepened this curiosity, showing me how math helps us make sense of stars, planets, and the cosmos itself.
I enjoy sharing this excitement with students, helping them see math as logical, beautiful, and empowering rather than intimidating. My lessons focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and real-world examples, adapted to each student’s pace and goals. As a UTSC Mathematics student, I, Ayra, bring a deep love for math and a passion for helping students understand concepts, not just memorize formulas. My teaching methodology focuses on building strong foundational understanding, encouraging critical thinking, and making abstract ideas tangible through examples, visualizations, and real-life applications.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous concepts, addressing any questions, and then introducing new material in small, digestible steps.
