About Mike
I am a 24-year old Durham University BSc graduate in Biological Sciences and currently a Masters student in Journalism working towards science reporting. I always loved to explain scientific concepts engagingly and clearly to others, which ultimately led to my department inviting me to publicly present my final-year research project at a showcase event. My studies covered various areas within Biology, including Physiology, Cell Biology, Animal Behaviour and Ecology.

The best way to learn Biology's many topics is to simply have a good understanding of them. My aim is thus to speed up students' learning by helping them understand clearly how all the terms and concepts work and how they are connected to one another.
I will be happy to help students with A-level biology or below, and any area in Biology can be covered at this level. The structure of our sessions will be tailored to suit your needs: it can follow your school's syllabus or simply concentrate on what needs to be worked on.
I can provide explanations to clear any confusion, as well as examples of how our knowledge of Biology can be applied to the wider world. This makes the subject more relevant and memorable. I will also encourage students to informally explain themselves what they have learned, which will actively improve comprehension.
For sessions, I can speak fluent English and Cantonese.
