About Charlotte
Hi! I started learning French in 2011, and have had a passion and love for it ever since. I am currently studying advanced French (the highest level) at Flinders University. Additionally, I just returned from studying abroad in France for 4 months. I am studying a double degree in Education and Languages, and my ultimate career goal is to be a French high school teacher. I currently work at a primary school after school care, so I have plenty of experience working with children. I also currently do home tutoring once a week for a lady who likes to practice her French conversational skills with me.

My experience with language learning is that having an effective teacher can make a world of difference. So, in my lessons, I strive to be engaging and make the lessons enjoyable and interesting, whilst simultaneously being useful and rigorous. I also believe the lessons should be mostly student-centred. This means that I like the student to tell me what they want to work on, what they are comfortable with, even suggest activities they might like to try. This way, the student is able to feel like they are learning what they really want to learn, and that they are able to have a voice and choose what areas they would like to work on. I also try to mix up my lessons and vary the structure and activities, so that the lessons aren't repetitive and students won't become bored or disengaged. I really have an incredible passion and love for both teaching and the French language, and am comfortable tutoring students at any age/level.
