About Akanksha

I’m Akanksha Jha, an English tutor who blends academic excellence with creative communication. Currently pursuing my postgraduate studies from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University, I bring with me the exposure, discipline, and intellectual rigor that come from being part of one of India’s most prestigious institutions. Instead of a dry, textbook-heavy method, I bring in current events, films, TED Talks, everyday scenarios, and interactive tools to make learning fun and meaningful. About the lesson

I believe that learning English should be a balance of structure, creativity, and confidence-building. My teaching approach is student-centered and goal-driven — tailored to the learner’s pace, purpose, and preferences.

Teaching Techniques & Methods:
- I use a blended method, combining traditional grammar and vocabulary foundations with interactive, real-life applications like debates, storytelling, and conversational role-plays.
- For spoken English, I focus on pronunciation, fluency, and expression through discussion topics, audio-visual content, and feedback-driven speaking practice.
- I encourage active learning with writing tasks, comprehension exercises, and regular quizzes to build retention.
- For exam prep or formal needs (like essays, emails, or interviews), I provide structured guidance with templates, sample answers, and mock sessions.

Usual Structure of a Class:
Each class typically includes:
- Quick Recap/Check-in – Reviewing past learning or setting the day’s agenda
- Core Lesson – New concepts (grammar, vocabulary, communication skill) taught with examples
- Practice Session – Speaking/writing/listening activities depending on the topic
- Q&A + Feedback – Clearing doubts and giving constructive feedback
- Mini Homework/Task – A short activity to reinforce the lesson

I also adapt the structure based on what works best for you!
