About Ruth
I'm a fluent Italian speaker based in the UK, having lived and worked in Italy for five years in the past. My Italian is real-world fluent — learned through daily life, work, and friendships in Italy — which means I can teach you the language as it's actually spoken, not just as it appears in textbooks.
Professionally, I spent over two decades as a television production manager, a role that demanded excellent communication, calm under pressure, and the ability to manage and support people from all walks of life. I'm now training as an integrative counsellor, and I bring that same patient, non-judgemental approach to tutoring.

Every session is tailored to you. I don't use a one-size-fits-all approach. Whether you're a complete beginner who wants to prepare for a holiday, an intermediate learner who wants to stop freezing mid-conversation, or someone preparing for school exams, I'll build lessons around your specific goals and learning style
