About Mat
My name is Mat Cassidy I played the flute all throughout 5th grade to senior year of high school, I played at my church in NJ St. Matthews the Apostle Parish, during high school band we had 3 bands with seating auditions and every year of high school I moved up in placement and when senior year came around I auditioned and became 1st chair principal player in the highest band! With that came the honor of playing in my school's symphony orchestra as the lead flute and piccolo player, as well in the spring playing in the musical as the only reed 1 flute and piccolo player. I have played at many weddings and other events and just have loved this instrument more than anything, it’s not easy to learn but with the right teacher and dedication it can be learned and it is just so rewarding!!

Would love to just teach any student no matter age or gender or any learning styles how to play an instrument I so dearly fell in love with, and not just teach them the flute but how to read music how to understand what they're playing and make it sound beautiful. This isn’t an easy instrument to learn but it is one of the most rewarding with having such a broad horizon of music that’s able to be played!! I also play the piccolo and can’t teach that
