-I encourage collaborative instruction where I frequently stop to gauge understanding while carefully and methodically walking through step-by-step methods to solve problems.
-My lessons start with an overview of the topic and explanations of conceptual ideas relating to said topic. Next, I present examples of the subject and suggest step-by-step instructions for solving problems. Finally, I work collaboratively with students to solve problems themselves, providing additional help and instruction as needed.
-I enjoy helping others grasp difficult concepts, and I stress the importance of gaining conceptual understandings before diving into the numbers and equations; I explain why an equation or theory is presented the way it is and why it works.
-My lessons are intended for middle, high school, and first-year college levels.
