About Katy
Hello! My name is Ms. Bridgforth. After leaving the public school field of education, I decided that working one-on-one with students is where my heart lay. I have worked with students directly for over 7 years, and my passion is helping writers find their unique voice in the scope of academic study. I have both a degree in English Education and a teacher's license, so I know what it is like to be both a student and a teacher. I believe I can blend the best of both words to create lessons that inspire confidence and encourage students to use their own unique skill set.

Every lesson plan starts with your goals in mind. Crafted with the end goal, every lesson is designed to hone skills and provide multiple opportunities for practice within the lesson. What is unique about my style of teaching is flexibility in pivoting at a moment's notice, and relatability to students of all ages. While most lessons are designed for middle/high school English, they can easily be adapted to fit higher education.
