About Amandeep
When I moved to the UK at 13, I faced many challenges. One of which was adjusting to the school curriculum. Maths was the one language, however, that remained constant and helped me believe in my ability to achieve.
My previous experience of leading school events has allowed me to understand how being supported by someone of similar experience can provide real comfort to younger students.
Tutoring is the medium through which, I've hence recognised, I can help students develop that same confidence with numbers.
Considering, alongside tutoring I will be grinding at my own econometrics studies at university, tutoring will be a natural extension of my academic work.

I will offer online GCSE Maths tutoring to students within the age gap of 14 to 16. My lessons will be 1 hour (max) long after 5pm and will follow the common curriculum between all major exam boards (e.g. Edexcel, AQA). The first few weeks will target any imminent concerns the student would like addressed. The rest will ensure to follow the curriculum in an orderly manner by checkpointing the student's knowledge. Sessions will be structured as follows:
● Lessons: exemplar questions to solidify and practice questions to apply topic understanding. They will be tailored to different curriculum tiers (e.g. Foundation or Higher)
● Homework: help understand any homework questions the student brings from school and provide tips to better answer them
● Exam Practice: closer to exam season I'll help target weak subject topics that have been identified over the sessions and I'll provide tailored revision plans with successful exam techniques to follow
During these sessions, I'll ensure the student feels as comfortable and at ease as much as possible. I will adjust my content creation to their liking (e.g. annotated examples or videos with voice over).
