About Anna
I am originally from the U.S., though I moved to Spain in 2020 and am now a postgraduate student at the University of York in the history department. In the interim, I also worked at a university in the States where I helped students study abroad!
Personally, I love animals, travel (duh!), ballet, music, reading, and more! I studied Spanish for many years at school, but it was discovering Spanish pop-culture (movies, TV, music!) that truly made me fall in love with the language. It helped me make friends in Spain and beyond and I hope to offer a similar love for the language to my students.

I moved to Madrid, Spain for a year to earn my TEFL-certification after studying Spanish in school and in University. While there, I worked in a primary school teaching students 6-10, as well as conducting private tutoring lessons for a similar age rage. Although most of my experience is with children, I'd happy to adapt my style to adults.
I teach primarily beginner-level students (A1 & A2), especially absolute beginners who are just wading into the world of Spanish language.
My lessons are flexible and dynamic (based on textbook structures), and aim to build all four language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking). I am focused on working with beginner-level students, including absolute beginners. I also like to utilise the specific interests of the student (sports, movies, dance, music, etc.) to help infuse Spanish into their daily life. Ultimately, my focus is on meeting the individual needs of the students.
Time length is also flexible, though generally I would aim for 45 mins - 1 hour.
