About Janae
Hi there! I’m an Educational Psychology student and IEB Afrikaans high school graduate with a passion for helping students build confidence and truly understand Math. Having once struggled with the subject myself, I know how frustrating it can feel — and that’s why I teach using creative, step-by-step methods that make Math easier and more enjoyable. I offer Math tutoring in both English and Afrikaans, and my lessons are designed to suit each student’s individual learning style. I focus on simplifying difficult concepts, encouraging questions, and creating a comfortable, judgment-free space where learning can happen at your own pace. My goal is to help students not only improve their marks but also gain lasting confidence in their Math abilities. I approach every lesson with patience, structure, and genuine care — ensuring my students feel supported and capable from start to finish.

As an Educational Psychology student and IEB Afrikaans high school graduate, I understand how different students learn — and how challenging Maths can feel when traditional methods don’t click. Having struggled with Maths myself, I’ve developed creative, easy-to-follow ways to make difficult concepts simpler.
I offer Maths tutoring in Afrikaans, with lessons tailored to each student’s learning style. My approach builds confidence, encourages questions, and breaks topics down step by step.
Lessons are aimed at primary and high school learners who want to improve their Maths results or feel more confident in the subject. Sessions take place in the late afternoon to fit around school hours, and students can request a day Monday to Thursday that works best for them.
