About Allyx
I have been tutoring International Baccalaureate (IB) subjects since 2017. I studied the IB myself and finished with 40/45, allowing me to study Law at Oxford.
Between 2017 and 2018, I tutored an IB student who needed to retake his IB exams. I tutored him in English Language and Literature HL, and he achieved the English grades he needed for his chosen university.

This typically depends on both the student and the subject, but the foundation is the same:
1. I ask the student what they think their pitfalls in this subject are so as to maximise their learning.
2. I give an overview of the subject and the sub-topic/module in question to cover any missed information or misunderstandings.
3. I then ensure whether the student has understood the subject by giving example problems and asking the student to solve them and work through any issues with them.
I have used an online whiteboard service, Skype, WhatsApp, and Google Docs to teach and share documents so that students can revisit materials and ask me questions outside of tutorial times.
