About Glenn
I have many years of experience as a lecturer/senior lecturer at a number of universities, including Brighton, Sussex and Bath. I have not retired but have decided to focus my activities away from university life: I am also a practicing artist interested in how art history and theory informs painting. I have also worked for the Workers Educational Authority and in Further Education, both in art/design history and film studies. I always receive good feedback for accessibility, liveliness and enjoyability!

Informal style of teaching, use of online sources, PowerPoints; regular discussion and Q and A. For those studying art, I try to incorporate references to current exhibitions and to contextualise these in relation to past and current ideas/ practices.
I can offer thorough editing of written work if required by individual student. If any students requireproofreading for university work, I am available for this at any level
My academic backgrounds are art practice, art theory, art history, visual culture and film studies - I remain passionate about these topics
