About Stephen
I am a fourth-year biology student minoring in computer science, and I have a passion for teaching. I am highly motivated and dedicated to helping my students achieve their academic goals. My extensive knowledge of biology and chemistry, combined with my experience working with high school and early undergraduate students, makes me a highly qualified tutor in these subjects.
My approach to teaching is based on creating a supportive and interactive learning environment that encourages students to participate actively in their own learning. I believe that by working closely with my students, I can help them to develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter and build their confidence in their own abilities.
In addition to my academic background, I have experience teaching kids how to skateboard and working as a residence advisor at a university. As a tutor, I take pride in providing a personalized learning experience for each of my students. My lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of my students, and I adapt my teaching methodology and techniques accordingly. In a typical lesson with me, we will begin with a brief review of the previous lesson, followed by an in-depth exploration of the current topic. I use a variety of visual aids, such as diagrams and real-world examples, to help students understand the concepts better. I also provide plenty of practice exercises to reinforce learning and encourage questions throughout the lesson.
