About Taran
I’m Taran, a King’s College London dental graduate with a strong record of academic performance: 10 A*s at GCSE, 3 A*s at A level, and a distinction in my final dental school examinations.
I’ve always been interested in what separates a good answer from an excellent one. Often, it is not just knowledge — it is structure, timing, clarity and presence. My interests in acting, theatre and music have helped me develop a strong understanding of performance, communication and how to hold an audience’s attention.
I bring that same approach to academic and interview preparation. I help students sharpen their thinking, organise their ideas and present themselves with confidence. I particularly enjoy working with motivated students who are ambitious, engaged and willing to put effort into improving quickly.

My name is Taran and I am a Foundation Dentist finishing my FD year in the UK. My lessons are designed to be practical, structured and confidence-building, with a strong focus on clinical reasoning rather than memorising answers.
My teaching approach is based around breaking topics down into clear frameworks, then applying them to exam-style or viva-style questions. Depending on your goals, we can work through case presentations, treatment planning, endodontic workflows, restorative decision-making, NHS-style note writing, communication skills, dental school interviews or personal statements.
A typical lesson lasts 45-60 minutes. For more detailed case presentation reviews or mock viva preparation, 90-minute sessions are also available. Lessons are interactive, so I will ask questions, challenge your reasoning, and help you practise explaining your answers clearly and professionally.
These lessons are suitable for dentistry applicants, dental students, and students preparing for clinical exams, interviews, case presentations or viva-style assessments. Sessions are for education and exam preparation only, not patient-specific diagnosis or treatment advice.

Free consultation: 15 minutes
A short introductory call to discuss your goals, current level and the best structure for future sessions.
Standard 1:1 lesson: £40 per hour
Ideal for viva preparation, clinical reasoning, treatment planning, interview practice, communication skills and exam technique.
Case presentation review: £70 for 90 minutes
A more detailed session for students who want help structuring, refining and presenting a clinical case clearly and confidently.
Group mock viva session: £20 per person
Suitable for small groups of motivated students who want to practise viva-style questioning, clinical reasoning and examiner-style communication together.
My teaching style is interactive and focused. I will ask questions, challenge your reasoning and help you explain your answers in a clear, structured and professional way. Lessons are suitable for dentistry applicants, dental students and students preparing for interviews, clinical assessments, case presentations or viva-style exams.
