About Zenobia
I have a B.F.A. In Mass Media, and I am currently a freelance writer. I have been writing for over five years. My writing experience includes writing and editing for my university’s student newspaper, writing for blogs and other online publications. During my time as an undergraduate, I participated in two after-school programs where I spent time mentoring and tutoring young children ages 5-15. I enjoy working with younger children on reading, writing, grammar, and spelling. I am starting grad school soon to obtain a master’s degree in journalism.

The most important thing is listening to the student and understanding what they are having a hard time with in school. I typically use what I learn about them to formulate the lesson structure. I like to provide worksheets that allow the student to work on areas where they need the most improvement. And, I will of course assist with homework. I give tips and offer guidance without giving away the answers. In my past experiences, this has helped students utilize their critical thinking skills and build confidence in being able to solve problems on their own in the classroom. I am pretty easy going and patient, and I will be available at any time. I like to make learning as fun as possible, because boring lessons will only make the subject much harder to learn. My goal is to make sure that students not only understand, but enjoy the subjects that they learn.
