About Anastasia
Hello there, I'm a native English tutor teaching French and Japanese.
I study languages at university, which helps me have an in-depth background when it comes to the grammar, so be it simply conversation practice or a need to have guidance in preparing for an upcoming exam, I'm here to work with you on it!
My aim is to always attentively observe and work out my student's learning style and interests, so that I can implement teaching methods and topics that would bring out the most enjoyable and the most rewarding results.

Regarding my experience... my most recent experience was as a language mentor for Language Horizons (a project with the Department of Education) where I put together thought-provoking activities, personalised to my class of pre-GCSE students, to incite real discussion into languages and culture.
Before that, I was an English teacher at インターTOMAS Ogikubo School in Tokyo where I prepared and led group and private lessons a range of levels (elementary school levels or even adult learners). There, I also supported advanced students (including my manager) in English to Japanese translation.
My other work experience:
- English live-in tutor (Bordeaux, France) where I guided a 17-year-old in their preparation for the baccalaureate (the A level equivalent in France). I also organised a 13-year-old in their study of English, which also included going through homework.
- Aupair (Paris, France) where I tutored children aged between 9 and 17.
- Aupair (Trieste, Italy) where I practiced English conversation with children aged between 5 and 9.
- English teaching assistant (Ashford Park Primary School & Englefield Green School) where I supported the teacher in a class of 5-8 year olds.

Anastasia is in her final year of study at Warwick University (studying French with Japanese). I have known her for 5 years and have acted as her personal tutor for the last two years. Anastasia has a long-standing interest in teaching. She took part in the Language Horizons outreach programme run at Warwick last year, which involved her acting as a mentor to year 8 students in a local Coventry secondary school. The aim of the project was to raise the profile of languages amongst pupils who had become disengaged. I received the following feedback from the teacher:
