• 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

  1- I’m a native French speaker, born and raised in France. French is the language of my childhood, my personality, my humour — it’s simply who I am!

• 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  2- For me, Édith Piaf is the perfect symbol of French culture. Her voice, her emotion, her poetry — she represents the soul of the French language. When she sings, you hear not only the words, but the passion, elegance and vulnerability that make French such a beautiful language. She reminds me that French is not just a language… it’s a feeling.

• 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behavior in the language that you particularly like?

  3-I absolutely love the expression “C’est la vie !” It’s simple, philosophical, a bit romantic — and very French. It reminds me that life is full of surprises, and we just have to embrace them.

• 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  4- Because it’s my native language, and I genuinely want to spread it to the world. I want to help as many students as possible fall in love with French — the sound, the culture, the humour, the elegance. Teaching French feels like sharing a part of myself.

• 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

  5-Let’s be honest: French spelling and pronunciation can be tricky — sometimes they match perfectly, and sometimes… not at all!
  The best solution is exposure: listening, reading, speaking a little bit every day. Once you get used to the patterns, everything becomes much easier.

• 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

  6- A funny anecdote: when I was in primary school, my teacher used to call me “La petite prof” because I always helped my classmates with their French homework. I didn’t realise it at the time, but that was the beginning of my teaching journey!

• 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

  7- Even though I’m already French, travelling has shown me how loved and admired the French language is! When I lived in Germany during my Erasmus exchange, so many students came to me asking for help with French — and that’s actually how I started teaching. Later, while travelling in England and other countries, people were always curious about French culture. It made me want to share my language even more.

  8- I’m fun, positive and full of energy — and my students always tell me my enthusiasm makes them feel motivated and confident. I adapt to every student, celebrate every progress, and make each lesson enjoyable. I hope we’ll have the same great connection together too! 😊
