About Emmett
My relationship with French began as a love affair with its sound — the musicality of the language, its poetry, and its ability to express emotion with grace. Over ten years of teaching, I’ve had the privilege of helping students discover the same beauty I once fell in love with. My greatest joy is watching a learner’s confidence grow as they begin to converse naturally, understanding not just the words but the culture, rhythm, and emotion behind them. I teach with patience, care, and adaptability, ensuring every student feels supported on their journey. My lessons blend rigor with creativity, encouraging learners to approach French with curiosity rather than fear. I emphasize communication and confidence, believing that mistakes are part of the process and proof of progress. Beyond teaching, I immerse myself in French literature, cinema, and travel to continuously deepen my cultural connection. My French lessons are crafted to transport students into the heart of the French language — where communication, culture, and creativity meet. I believe that true fluency comes from living the language through experience, not just memorization. Each class combines structured grammar lessons with spontaneous conversation, pronunciation practice, and cultural immersion. Students learn through real-life dialogue, songs, short stories, and media, building fluency in a natural and engaging way.
Beginners start by mastering essential vocabulary, greetings, and sentence patterns through interactive dialogues and practical activities. Intermediate learners refine their grammar and expand their expressive ability by analyzing authentic French materials — from films and articles to chansons. Advanced students explore literary texts, debate topics, and professional communication, learning to express complex ideas with elegance and precision.
Exam preparation for DELF and DALF is also available. Each session aims to spark enthusiasm and confidence. I want students to experience French not just as a language, but as an artistic, living form of connection that reflects culture, creativity, and human expression.
