About Briar
My love for French began with an early fascination for language, literature, and Francophone cultures. I earned an M.A in French Language, Literature, and Francophone Studies, acquiring comprehensive knowledge in grammar, linguistics, literature, and cultural context. Over 10 years of teaching, I have guided students from beginner to advanced levels, helping them develop fluency, confidence, and cultural understanding.
I teach with patience, encouragement, and individualized attention. Lessons integrate structured exercises, interactive conversation, and cultural exploration to enhance both practical proficiency and expressive confidence. I focus on helping learners communicate naturally and accurately while fostering a deep appreciation for Francophone traditions.
Outside the classroom, I engage with French literature, media, and current cultural events to keep lessons relevant and engaging.
