About Briar
My journey with French began with a strong interest in language structure, literature, and cross-cultural communication. I completed a Master of Arts in French Studies and have 9 years of teaching experience working with learners from diverse backgrounds. Over the years, I have helped students progress from basic understanding to confident real-world communication through structured guidance and consistent practice.
My teaching approach is patient, interactive, and student-centered. I focus on speaking practice from the beginning so students build confidence early. I also emphasize understanding grammar through usage rather than memorization, which helps learners develop natural fluency over time. Lessons are adapted to each student’s pace so learning feels comfortable and effective.
Outside teaching, I explore French literature, cinema, music, and cultural traditions. These experiences help me bring authenticity and real-world context into my lessons. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing students grow from hesitant speakers into confident communicators who can express themselves naturally in French. That transformation continues to inspire my teaching every day.

My French lessons focus on helping students communicate naturally and confidently in real-life situations. I teach grammar foundations, verb conjugation, sentence structure, vocabulary expansion, listening comprehension, pronunciation practice, and conversational speaking. Intermediate learners develop fluency, listening comprehension, grammar accuracy, and conversational confidence. Advanced students refine expression, vocabulary depth, and natural speaking flow. Students preparing for travel, exams, or professional use receive focused speaking practice. Continuous feedback ensures steady improvement and correction at every stage.
Learning French should feel engaging, supportive, and motivating. My lessons create a relaxed environment where students can speak freely without fear of mistakes. Over time, learners begin to think in French, which improves fluency naturally. My goal is to help students use French confidently in everyday conversations, cultural interactions, and professional settings with ease and clarity.
