About Alexis
I've been a student of the French language from the 5th grade through college where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University, double major in International Studies and French. I also lived abroad in 2012 for one semester in Paris, France for a study-abroad immersion program. After graduation I held a bilingual position for two years with an international company, fluidly navigating between both languages. I am the French "go-to" among my social circles and within my family and also enjoy helping explain challenging concepts in more comprehensible formats.

I prefer teaching for overall comprehension, explaining the "why" behind the "what" of grammar and vocabulary use. I prefer to use upbeat conversation as a teaching tool in addition to traditional structure, which is useful for practicing conjugation and sentence structure. I also like to create visual aides to help communicate material, especially useful in retaining vocabulary. Elementary and middle school level is my preferred range.
