About Ross
I am a secondary teacher specialising in Modern Foreign Languages (French and Spanish) as well as English. I have previously been a Head of Languages at a leading school in a successful multi academy trust. I am also an examiner for a leading UK exam board for the speaking and writing components of the GCSE French exam. I have been offering private tuition to both individual students and groups of students for 8 years, supporting young learners through to adults. I teach what you need to know and show you how to reach or exceed your goals. I tailor each lesson to meet the specific requirements of the student or group I am teaching. I also enjoy using meta-cognitive approaches to ensure my students make great progress and to ensure what they are learning stays with them. I am a MFL specialist and teach French to A Level and Spanish to GCSE level. I am an examiner for the speaking and writing papers for a leading exam board, which can be very useful when supporting students who are working towards exams. I also have experience of teaching and tutoring English Language and English Literature and I have a great track record of successful outcomes at GCSE.
