About Ceiligh
I began working with fellow students, tutoring them in writing and French when I was a sophomore in high school, as a part of my duties in the National Honors Society. Since graduating from high school, I have continued to work with French students throughout college to improve not only their abilities and confidence in the language, but also their skills in writing, paritcularly considering the challenges of growing as a writer in a foreign language. I have a very open attitude towards methods of tutoring and am happy to follow whatever strategies work best for each individual student. I enjoy helping people and have a great passion for learning. Having grown up struggling with disorders, such as anxiety, ADHD, and depression, I also understand the difficulties that come with neurodivergent learning, and am able to adapt tutoring sessions to accommodate these needs. Making others feel comfortable and making sure their learning path is enjoyable as well as productive makes me feel satisfied in my work.

I work one on one with students and formulate my lessons around what learning methods work for each student.
Generally I would have an introductory warm up assignment that requires students to use their imaginations and try to express themselves based on the French vocabulary they already have. I would then move onto vocabulary and school assignments to work on with them.
As a tutor, I believe that listening to your student is essential in creating a healthy and productive learning environment. I also place an importance on engaging the creative and imaginative sides of your brain as well as the analytical.
These lessions are for anywhere from elementary level to French language learning requirements in college.
