About Sevilay
I have been teaching for more than 3 years in multiple institutions around the world. I have taught in colleges, schools and universities in various places. Diversity and culture are important to me. I have taught all levels of students from beginner to advanced students. I have taught English to young children, secondary school students and college students. I have also had experience teaching English for a specialised purpose when I taught military representatives in Spain. I enjoy building excellent rapport with my students and enjoy tailoring my lessons for their specific learning needs, which enables them to fulfil their full potential. They have all been pleased with their excellent progress and high achievements. I also believe in a self-reflective and deductive approach. My students have said that they find me to have an approachable and friendly mannerism. I find that teaching and learning go hand in hand and I see myself as a facilitator of learning rather than a traditional (telling) teacher. I believe in arriving at solutions to problems together. I also highly try to mould my teaching style to a learners needs by evaluating their specific learning style(whether this be visual, kinesthetic, auditory or a blend of all). The materials used also depend on the students needs. Other than traditional lessons I can also aid or support with assignment or essay writing and can proof-read written formats.
