About Andrew
I've been providing one-to-one tuition predominately in GCSE and A level Mathematics and Economics for over 15 years. I've also worked in a private college for 5 years and as a secondary mathematics teacher in a mainstream secondary school. I have a wealth of experience helping all sorts of students to enhance their skills, strengthen their subject knowledge and ultimately pass exams with confidence. I also provide lessons for 11+ exam preparations.
I am PGCE qualified in secondary mathematics and have an undergraduate degree in economics as well as masters a degree in applied econometrics. I have worked with all age ranges of students in different settings, including summer camps and other after school tuition centres. I thoroughly enjoy working with young people, helping them to overcome their academic obstacles in order to reach their potential. I believe I am a friendly, approachable and calm tutor, tailoring lessons and accommodating my students as much as I can.

One-to-one tuition should be based around the student. My aim is always to quickly understand what a students weaknesses and needs are and what they wish to obtain from the lessons. After that, we can collaboratively work out the best way to achieve these aims. Whether if it is to pass an exam, learn a completely new topic from scratch or anything in between, my aim is to provide whatever structure the student needs best.
