About Hannah-mae
I’m Hannah - a Bristol University Law Graduate and Functional Skills Lecturer at HMP Bristol.
I am friendly, laid back, thorough and supportive.
Subjects: Law: I hold a law degree from Bristol University and was called to the Bar in 2024 following, which I was shortlisted for Bristol Law Society’s ‘Law Student of the Year Award’. Aside from academics, I have 2+ years practical legal experience (not qualified) at in-house law firms as a paralegal. This experience has equipped me with valuable proofreading and essay writing skills.
English: I have 2+ years as a lecturer at HMP Bristol where I teach English (from basic up to GCSE level). I have a strong track record of seeing pupils through their Functional Skills exams (a 98.7% pass rate) and look forward to the prospect of helping you pass yours.
Availability:
Available 7 days a week between the hours of 5.30pm and 10pm

Teaching structure:
My tutorials involve a welcome meeting; following which I will assess any additional needs you may have before creating a custom study plan.
Each session can either build upon prior knowledge or target areas where improvement is needed.
My lessons also include revision techniques throughout to ensure students retain knowledge.
I provide verbal and written feedback throughout.
