About Sarah
I am a recent Oxford graduate, where I came away with a degree in History. I have loved the subject since a very young age, and thoroughly enjoy teaching it. I also enjoy teaching a variety of other humanities subjects, including English and Sociology, and particularly enjoy teaching Religious Studies and Philosophy at A-level.
My lesson style is very relaxed and flexible, and like many other humanities students, I love lessons that start off with a big question and expand into a dialogue. This style of learning encourages curiosity and creativity, which I believe form the bed rock to improving academic performance.

My lessons are typically an hour long, but I am happy to adjust the length of lessons to suit a student's learning style.
I have found that letting the student guide the course of the lesson to be the most effective form of lesson delivery style for improved confidence and academic performance. I start by asking the student what they are currently struggling with in their studies, and from there build a plan, which they are free to adjust as their studies continue and they may find they want more help somewhere else.
I have experience teaching students from KS3 up to A-level, where I have supported students in their preparations for exams.
