About Maryam
I am Maryam who is currently studying to gain an Undergraduate degree at Goldsmiths, University of London.
By having previous tutoring experience, I have been able to see how important it is to cement a positive environment during tutoring sessions.
My main goal is to see my students succeed and for their confidence to grow as we move through the course.

I am a highly experienced tutor, who maintains a friendly approach with my students. As a result, I have seen that this encourages them to feel comfortable enough to propose questions and further their knowledge. I am confident in creating engaging lessons because I affirm my students individually by listening and paying attention to them individually.
Furthermore, I am empathetic to students struggling with key concepts and am patient as I try to explain the concept in different ways. My key strength is that I am able to model clear communication through collaboratively working alongside students to create the best environment for them to excel in. This inspires my tutees to be open towards approaching challenging concepts.
Having recently completed my GCSE’s, I am up to date with the changes in exam specifications as well as knowing how to strategically answer exam questions. This enables me to offer helpful advice towards students in assisting them to reach their targets. Furthermore, this allows me to have technical knowledge which I can effectively utilise to stretch students' knowledge and skills.
My lessons typically last for an hour.
