About Bede
Hi! I'm Bede. I graduated with first class honours in English and Theatre from Warwick, and I also have a Master's from Sussex. (I achieved the highest grades at GCSE and A-Level, dropping only 4 marks at A-Level).
I have experience teaching both at primary and secondary level. I have improved grades for GCSE and A-Level students and taught English to French speakers in France.
I also have tutored native-speaking and foreign undergraduate students in essay writing across multiple subjects, such as history, psychology and biology.
My favourite book is 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' by Oscar Wilde.

I want to meet students where they are and help them learn English through building on what interests them. There is no mould for all students, so I tailor lessons for how each individual learns, and around what they need from a tutor to enable them to succeed.
Drawing from my experience, I allow students form their own interpretations of texts and language, then work with them to put those thoughts into written form, building towards exam responses at GCSE, A-level and beyond.
