About James
Hi there! Thank you for stopping by to have a look at my profile.
I completed my CELTA degree from the internationally regarded International House London in October 2017. Previous to this, I had spent nearly a decade in various teaching/training roles within the hospitality sector.
Since graduating from International House London, I teach EFL part-time at a school in North London. I also volunteer some time a week to teach EFL to refugees, in aims of allowing them easier pathways into employment.
My goal with every student is to understand exactly their motivations for taking ELF classes - whether it be for career, academic or general reasons, I will create exciting, engaging and educational lessons for all students, catered to their exact needs.
On top of much experience teaching General EFL, I have experience in teaching English for: customer service, professional communication in the workplace (email, telephone manner) and written academic English.
I am a friendly, personable and enthusiastic teacher. I gain genuine enjoyment from allowing my students to reach their goals and full potential.
I prefer to take classes at my home in SE London, but can travel if needed.
