About Alexis
Once a student myself, I have sat through lectures which bored me to sleep. As a curious and restless learner, I hope to make gaining knowledge not a chore, but an accessible and enjoyable experience for JC students, who are in one of the most tiring phases of their schooling life. In my spare time, I love to cook and have a good read— be it about biology or literature!

To me, understanding a student is more important than drilling content. I begin with diagnosing gaps and understanding the student’s needs before building confidence in theory, through simplifying tough biological concepts, encouraging information retrieval and reinforcing consistent practice. I teach exam-smart strategies, while keeping lessons engaging and memorable.
- A lesson would last roughly 1.5 hours
- I have volunteered as a Biology peer tutor in VJC, helping my classmates to improve by at least 2 grades.
- My lessons are for H1 and H2 Biology students looking for assistance and support in Biology who learn best while having fun!
