About Katherine
I spent a year in France as an English Teaching Assistant (where I had the all the responsibilities of a teacher but half of the salary!) I therefore have experience of language teaching and a knowledge of successful strategies techniques to optimise language learning.
Having been in charge of teaching students ranging from 11-18 years old, I was required to develop lessons that were interesting and dynamic as well as spending time one on one with those who were struggling.
During my time at the school, there was a notable improvement in the language ability of the students thanks to my teaching style.

Having recently graduated from the University of Nottingham, I am looking to spread my love of France and its language through tutoring. With my 2:1 degree and experience of living and working in France for a year, I am confident in my abilities to teach all levels up to degree standard.
As a sociable and friendly person, I enjoy spending time with people of all ages and have experience teaching very low ability students to more advanced ability students in English, giving me a knowledge of how to adapt lesson plans and styles according to the audience.
I believe in the importance of speaking the target language as much as possible, taking into account the confidence of the student and am happy to engage in help with oral, written and listening skills.
Lessons will always be adapted according to the needs of the student, to be discussed and agreed upon by the client beforehand.
